The FS-1018MFP meets the challenges of the demanding business environment: producing 18 A4 ppm at Fast1200 dpi quality with a time to first print of less than 8 seconds. The FS-1018MFP is a compact A4, network, multifunctional device, based on the highly successful
FS-1010 ECOSYS printer.

The FS-1018MFP integrates standard network printing, copying and colour scan to email functionality into one compact device. Aimed at the small workgroup, the FS-1018MFP offers A4 monochrome printing and copying at speeds of up to 18 pages per minute.

The 18ppm print and copy speeds make the FS-1018MFP perfect for the shared workgroup environment. Small and medium sized offices and smaller departments within larger organisations are the ideal environment for the
FS-1018MFP.

In larger organisations, the device is likely to be complementary to a wider range of larger machines and also colour output devices, hence the inclusion of colour scanning. It is anticipated that the FS-1018MFP will be shared by approximately 5 users.

ECOSYS technology is based on extremely durable components. The drum, developer and fuser of the FS-1018MFP are designed to last for 100,000 pages. As toner is the only consumable required, ECOSYS printers operate with the lowest cost per page in their class and they are particularly environmentally friendly.

System Platform
The FS-1018MFP delivers outstanding network connectivity and problem-free system administration. Kyocera Mita’s single platform technology means that the same driver can be used for every KM print device in the network: from single-user desktop printers to high-end multifunctional systems. Only Kyocera Mita offers this effortless combination of IT sophistication and high-performance paper handling expertise.

With the Kyocera Mita page design and control language PRESCRIBE IIe, even complex graphics, logos and forms (even multipart forms) can be created independently of the system and saved and updated in the printer. Consequently,
integration into print files no longer applies. They are only accessed as required and therefore relieve the load on the network.

Typefaces and barcodes
The 80 scalable PostSript fonts provide high flexibility for all applications. A total of 45 integrated barcodes including hash totals are computed automatically by the printer and printed in the desired size, alignment and position.

KM-NET Viewer is an advanced network management software tool that is compatible with all Kyocera printers and multifunctional products as well as those of other vendors by using the standardized protocol SNMP. The settings of all printers on the network can be checked visually and amended from any Windows PC. KM-NET Viewer also acts as a valuable, real-time early warning system by sending eMail messages.
